Eyebrow Tattoo Aftercare
Just After Your Appointment
No coffee or alcohol for the first few hours after your appointment
Your brows may change shape due to swelling
After 2 hours, take off the balm with a tissue, ensuring to get it all off. Some colour may come off but don’t be alarmed!
Keep them completely dry with no product for the next 48 hours
Until Scabs Have Come Off
After 48 hours, apply a small (grain of rice) amount of the balm daily and leave it on. Less is more!
Don’t apply the aftercare balm straight after the shower, wait at least 20min for the skin to dry out
Keep your brows completely dry
No exercise - even if you don’t sweat you skin gets hot & expands which pushes the pigment out!
No sweating - saunas, hot showers, keep cool
Do not pull at the scabs
Don’t apply makeup to the brow area
No direct sun (or wear a hat)
Trust the process! At times they will look too dark, too light or uneven but try not to stress
After The Scabs Come Off
Your brows be light until the colour comes back, so allow 3 weeks for the true colour to show through
Keep your skincare with active ingredients in it away from your brows as it will fade them faster
Direct sunlight will also fade them faster so its recommended that you apply sunscreen on the area
Book your touch up between 5 and 8 weeks from your initial appointment. Any questions or concerns can be addressed at this appointment.
Lip Tattoo Aftercare
Day 1 Until Scabs Have Fallen Off
Lips will be swollen and possibly bruised. To reduce swelling put ice in a clear ziplock bag and apply
If you’re prone to coldsores, consult your chemist about taking the anti-viral tablet/s
Moisturise your lips with the balm provided as much as possible
Fluid may start coming out of your lips, so you will need to wipe them with a wet cotton pad and pat dry for the first couple of hours
Don’t eat spicy or citrus foods as it will burn!
Avoid makeup on the lips
Do not get facials or filler for at least 2 weeks after
After The Scabs Have Fallen Off
The tattoo may appear light - it will take around 4 weeks for the colour to completely show through
Depending on your skin and chosen colour, you may need a touch up
Avoid: Direct sunlight, skincare products with Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid & Retinol and facials on the area
Your tattoo will last 1-3 years depending on your lifestyle and aftercare
